Crank sensor p0035 I have a 07 silverado I recently swapped out my worn dod deleted motor for a gen 4 5.3 bored to 5.7 that's been deleted as well along with a tow max stage 2 cam. When I started the motor all it did was turn over with no signs of life. It threw a crank sensor code p0335. So I swapped out the crank sensor that was in my old motor because I knew it was good into the new and still nothing. I put a test light on the connector I get power I used a multimeter and I have 5v and 12v to the pins. I'm not sure what else can it be! This is frustrating as I need to get back on the road asap
The signal wire, not the power wire.
The power and ground circuits provide the needed power to the sensor.
As the engine spins and the reluctor passes in front of the sensor, what the CKP "sees" is communicated through the sensor/signal wire to the PCM.
That's the wire that is actually telling the PCM the engine RPM.
