Working on my '98 Formula. I am getting into the wiring portion of my build and I'm trying to figure out how to install my Current Performance integration harness alongside my Terminator X harness. Specifically, the fact that both harnesses have a cam sensor plug on them. I've seen threads where people say the stock tach won't work without the cam signal, others that say it works fine without it. I would have figured Current would have put a cam sensor splitter in the harness if it was needed, but they didn't. I also have read that the cam signal can't be split anyway, but others have actually done it.
@Darth V8r for one. My engine is an '06 LH6, which is set up like an LS2 - 24X/1X, but the cam sensor is in the front cover. So I can't run dual cam sensors. So, does anyone know if I can split the cam signal? Or if the tach will actually function without the cam signal?
The other question I have is, everything I've read says you can't split the coolant temp signal. Yet my Current harness has a split to plug the Terminator X 2-wire connector in, along with the factory 3-wire plug. Is this possible due to the fact that my '98 has the 3-wire sensor? It would be nice if it works, because I'd have to extend the Term X wiring harness all the way back to the passenger side head to get to the other coolant temp sensor I installed.
