I have had a few camaro and firebirds all of them v6. This new to me 2100k mile lt1 2002 trans am put on the check engine light after only less than 10 miles. So I connected a code box and reset the code. It was knock sensor. This car has been sitting in the show room for 2 years with probably regular gas. So I filled the tank with high test and a bottle of injection cleaner and after a few miles no check engine light. AND the engine idles smoothly. Have to take the car (new to me) to inspection soon so I want to make sure everything is working well.
I hope it not the knock sensors.

 

Are you sure it is not LS1? They are smooth.

 

If it's a 2002 it's an LS1, not LT1
