Default Need more time to prime fuel

I have a 2004 GEN three LS six that I put into my 68 Corvette. The car takes two primes to start it. And I realize that the initial prime cycle for the fuel when the key is first turned is too short and it needs like another second or two. I tried going into HP tuners and using VCM editor to see if I can adjust the time to prime the fuel, but there is no setting for it. Is there any other way to make the priming cycle longer or will I always have to do two cycles of the key to prime it enough to start?

Does IN- tank fuel pump plumbing consist of:
Submersible hose ?
Oetiker Clamps ?
Return line to tank ?
2 Seconds SHOULD be plenty of Prime-Time if you have a tight system with no leaks.

Is it possible the cam sensor is bad? It will not prevent starting, but can take 2 tries to start.
Just throwing this out there...
