Default Are all blue/green vortec PCMs compatible?

I’ve got an 5.3 (L33) blue/green ECU that possibly bricked itself.

If I were to pickup any blue/green ECU from any engine, that being 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, etc. or let’s say LM7 vs my L33, would it be compatible, or would there be issues with difference in tune as all these motors are obviously different displacement, compression, cam profiles, etc.

Unless you get a pcm from an identical engine and transmission, you will need to tune it. Also, some p59 computers have IAC drivers for cable throttles, but most don't. If you have DBW, any of them will work, but for DBC you have to find a service number that has the drivers on the board. Technically, you can add the drivers if you have soldering skills, but that is beyond the scope of your question.

Hello,

They made P59's with the IAC hardware already installed (drive by cable) up to 2007. These PCM numbers - 12575502, 12570558, 12583659, and 12589161 - will help you if you need a DBC capable device.
