Default SOL on my C5s EBCM?????

Hey guys, I was just coming home about 1/2 hour ago and I got the dashboard fireworks on my 2000 C5!! Service ABS-Service Active Handling-Service Traction Control. The ABS icon lit up along with the skidding Corvette icon. I cleared the messages in the DIC while driving home, but the icons stayed lit. Damn. I've kinda been expecting this since the car is 25 years old now, with 150,000 miles on it. After getting home, I shut the car off and the 3 messages appeared in the DIC. I cleared them, and started the car. Now the icons are all out and no more DIC messages. Anyone ever experienced this before? I thought once the icons lit and the messages appeared, the EBCM had taken a dump. Only used ones are available, and I hear they're a $2,000 gamble. SH_T!!!!!

Yup, typical C5 problems. There is are a few companies online that refurb C5 EBCMs, essentially they reflow solder joints, replace relays, etc. Although I think most are going to recommend changing it to a 2001-2004 EBCM because the 99-00 is filled with epoxy or something like that and you really can't work with them. You really need to write down the exact codes though to verify it will properly get fixed.

This morning I went out and checked codes. There were no current (C) codes, only history (H) codes. The only H code that could've triggered all the fireworks was a LF speed sensor, code# TCS C1232-H. That had to be what triggered the other codes. No ABS codes, no PCM or BCM codes. Go figure......

Carbureted Gen1 swap, 327, mechanical fuel pump and a Holley DP- it's the only definite, permanent cure.

Change the hub bearing assy and rock n roll on for a bit longer if all it had was LF wheel speed sensor. Its not going to improve.
