I'm hoping this is the right place for this. If not, Mods, please move. To the point:
I have a 2000 C5. Yeah, the one with a non-repairable EBTCM. In the 1,200+ miles drive down from Michigan to Florida, no problems or codes. Within a week, I started getting wheel sensor codes. One other code was the dreaded C1255 code, i.e. a bad EBTCM!! But it only came up once, it was cleared, and never returned. But the wheel sensor codes persisted. I finally took the car to a friend in South Florida, who has more $$$$$ in diagnostic equipment than I do in my car!! Took off the front wheel, and zero'd in on the connector near the LF wheel sensor. He used something he used in the aircraft industry (he was a long time aircraft mechanic) called Deoxit (I'm getting some!), a contact cleaner, and then something called Stabilant 22A, an electric continuity improver. 140 miles home, and no more codes. Been too busy to drive it since. But wife and I are taking it out tomorrow for around a 40-50 mile drive, along with our beloved Snoopy Yorkie!! Ill report back, good or bad. Here's a pic of the dog!!

GREAT NEWS!!! Wife and I took the car and dog for a 55 mile trip today. Ride consisted of some country cruising and some stop and go. Also L&R twisties. No more codes came back, and I have now driven it about 200 miles with no issues. I'd like to thank my friend C5Diag, whose diagnostic skills and special sauces, the Deoxit and Stabilant 22A, did the trick. Thank you again, Rob, you saved me a lot of $$$$ and probably parts.
