Changing from a 2 bar to a 3 bar setup.
Changing from a 2 bar to a 3 bar setup. What are the steps needed to go from my current 2 bar to a 3 bar setup? Obviously buying a new 3 bar sensor and retuning, but what are the steps for the changing the tune from a 2 bar to a 3 bar?
I am using the AC pressure sensor to Data log. I currently have a 2 bar sensor and have no issues.
Im assuming I should be okay with a 2.5 bar senor?

I hope you still have your stock file, because any HPT COS requires applying the OS to a file that does not yet have another COS applied to it. After modifying a stock OS to the 3bar HPT OS, just do a compare and take all your current relevant info into the new file. Change your MAP sensor linear and offset, and repopulate your new VE table just like when you first changed to a 2bar COS. Be aware that if you are logging a wideband through the EGR input, some of the HPT 3bar systems break that functionality.

I do have a stock Ws6 tune that I downloaded from the HP tuners repository. Is that okay to use?

If you use a file from a different vehicle it will cost credits to use it. There are ways around that with pcmhammer or lsdroid and tunerpro or universal patcher, but that gets a bit involved. It would be much better if you had a file from your car that did not have the 2bar OS applied yet. It does not have to be a bone stock file, just the original gm operating system.
