Default Code P101

I have a73 Corvette with a 2002 LS1. I installed a 5 wire Maf sensor. I keep getting a code P101 and sometime it the engine seems to kind of a burp when driving down the road. I changed the Maf sensor and ordered a new harness that is for the 5 wire sensor .Is the tune different for a 3 wire to a 5wire sensor ? Anybody have the answer? Thanks Charlie.

Do you have the sensor installed in the correct direction?

That's a correlation code which means it's getting different readings than it expects to see, and yes the calibration is different between the 3 wire and 5 wire sensor.

Which 5 wire sensor did you use? The Delphi replacement MAF for the LS1 is plastic, 5 wire, with an IAT breakout in the adapter harness. That MAF is a direct replacement for the OEM metal MAF and requires no tuning.
If you are using a 5 wire truck MAF, which i believe is a 85mm, then tuning is going to be required, unless you use a SLP 85mm MAF that has an internal resistor.

Also, was the prior MAF a 3 wire?
What was the reason you installed the 5 wire to begin with?
