Downloading an Edit file written on a different version?

Downloading an Edit file written on a different version? I have version 1.21 of Edit, which is an older version. If a sponsor (or someone) was to write me up a file using a newer software version, would I be able to download it onto my PCM with my cable module? Or is there an incompatibility issue?

shouldn't be a problem, you may not be able to see all of the changes they made (as 1.21 doesn't have as many accessible tables as 1.4) but the write process is the same so shouldn't a problem.
