16 volt battery any good?

16 volt battery any good? I have Accel gen7+, electric fuel pump, electric water pump, electric fans "of course". I am running my electric water pump and fans between rounds to cool the water and constant starts and stops in the staging lanes moving forward and trying to keep the water the same temp every launch.
This past week my car ran like crap. We figure the battery is crap and caused problems with the ignition. I was 6 tenths off and 7 or 8 mph off.
When I had all accessories running the voltage would read only 12.12 to 12.25 volts. Think this could have caused my problems?
No noise from the engine. No smoke from the exhaust. Plugs look good. Pretty new spark plug wires. No water in the oil

I also have a #2 gauge wire feeding my system from the cut off switch. Big enough?
Anyway, I was thinking of getting a 16 volt battery. Could this help or hinder?
Any thoughts?

the 16 volt battery is only to run 16 volts to the starter to help with hard starting high compression engines. If you run 16 volts to your oter stuff it could break it. Either charge batteries between rounds, or put two 12 volt batteries.
Your battery could just be getting old. I'm assuming you have an LT1? upgrade from the 124 to the 140amp alternator. it'll charge a bit faster. I don't know of any options for the ls1 alternator. If you cool down in the pits keep a deep cycle battery on a dolly and hook it up the car every time your parked. This worked for one of my friends, he just had to charge up the battery before race day with a lil walmart charger.
