Default What do you think...

When I start my car after it has been running awhile, say go to the store, come outside and start it for example. My ltrims and Strims go to -15 or so on just the right bank but only after about 10-15 seconds of it already running. At this point you cannot drive the car, you have to wait another 20 seconds or so for it to clear itself up. After that everything goes back to normal. However my Right Bank O2 sensor (don't have rear sensors) seems to always read higher than the left, for example if the left were at 700 then the right would be about 900 or so, this is not under WOT just cruising around. You may say that it doesn't matter what they are while driving, well you can also see the same reflection in my right bank ltrims. Seem to always be a tad richer, not much but a little. I retorqued the intake manifold and header on that side and nothing changed. I looked for exhaust leaks, couldn't find any. I'm thinking maybe a bad injector? I bought them used, what are the signs of a bad injector? Any other idea's?

Have you tried switching the o2's? Maybe one is going bad. Mine was acting that way and you could also see how rich it was on just one side by the plugs. But mine never died on me though or have to wait on it. Just a thought. Have you looked at the plugs to make sure they are all right since the new set up is running and still tuning on it?

lol, the O2 is brand new, I bought it thinking it was the O2. I also pulled all the plugs on that side, they look fine. Could be that vacuum leak

How long has the o2 been in there? I changed mine cleared the codes and drove to Becky's shop (20 min). Then 2 20 min runs for efilive and the o2's were still not running right. It was starting to clean up but still showed a variance between the 2.

The wires for the o2's arn't touching anything new under there are they? Or have at one time, so that there is a exposed wire?

that one happens to be the one I had my AF ratio gauge hooked up to. I thought maybe the wire for the gauge had melted somewhere and it was grounding itself out. In turn I snipped the wire free and pulled it up top. So as rar as I can tell no wires are touching anywhere. The new O2 has been in there for a few days now as well.

Sorry dude, no more thoughts. You can always send your injectors off to be flowed. Maybe you can swap them from one side to the other to seee if the other side runs different. Other than that I'm not sure how to test them.

ya that was my next step, swap out the injectors. If I'm gonna do that might as well put some 60's in there. Also ordered a new exhaust gasket, incase it's a tiny leak that I can't hear. Thanks for all your help tho Steve.

Sly, have you exported the file into one of the excel spreadsheets I gave you to see what the 02s are averaging in each cell? Sometimes it has surprised me to see how different they are then just trying to watch them live…..just a thought.

If you want, you can email me a csv file and I can look at it.

I have them exported, but I haven't averaged the O2's. I know just be looking, everytime I look the right side is always quite a bit higher than the left. I'm also throwing Misfire codes and I have it desensitized. I've pulled the right bank of plugs and wires and checked them I guess I should pull the drivers side to. I'm thinking it's the injectors. I might throw the factory injectors back in and see what it does before I go buying 60'lbers.
