Hypertech Power programer hp/tq ?

some cars actualy loose power others gain power... they advertise 20rwhp which is a bunch of bullshit... all their power tuning does is straighten the timing curve out and lean the car out (so if your car runs naturally lean and you lean it out more... you'll get some knock)
I'd stay far far away from an HPP3 unless you can get one really cheap used... and even then make sure the prson can be trusted... cause if they don't restore their PCM to stock (100% stock, gear changes, tire changes, everything) it wont work on other cars...
Might be better off w/a diablosport predator (lets you change more things yourself) or the ultimate HP Tuners (lets you modify every table in the PCM yourself... steeper learning curve but much more powerful ... www.hptuners.com)

For the price you are better off getting HP Tuners. It will hold a little more value, be easier to sell, and allow you to do what the Hypertech can do (including reduce your horsepower if you really want that) and more. Plus if you have buddies with the same year model you can share with your friends.

so basically HPP3 goes 10% lean ... seems like alot of fuel to be pulled to me... enough that I wouldn't trust it unless i had wideband (which I do now but not at the time)
It raises stock timing from 28* peak to 29* peak, flattens the curve out... etc...
(fortuanetly when I first got LS1 Edit, i copied my HPP3 tune... cause I'm just curious that way)
Oh also the HPP3 for 2000s sets the desired shift time to all 0s instead of the stock values that are up to .5 seconds ...
hell hpp3 doesn't even eliminate torque management
