HYPERTECH Sucks right?

HYPERTECH Sucks right? Ok so this kid looking at LS1's tell me he plans on getting a hypertech programmer cause they give you about 50 RW after you do some modding. 
I laughed and told him you know HPTUNERS or LS1edit or a mail order from TSP or MTI etc. He doesn't belive me because Summit and Jegs tell him otherwise 
Another thing I wonder, is the factory pretty much a perfect tune for a COMPLETELY stock LS1? A Hypertech and 160* thermostat is prolly 5-10 RW tops right?

**** for 200 bux I'll sell him an HPP3 tune , raw binary file... same tune that an HPP3 will give him lol!
HPP3 will gain little power... and in some situations will cause a loss of power... he's been watching too much TV .....
