Default Man I love this site

The other day my SES light went off. Normally for something technical like that I would have just gone to the dealer, but my warranty has since ran out, so I was on my own for this one.

I decided to have my car scanned at Autozone. After the scanning, the guy said it had to do with my malfunctioning EGR without even referrencing the code (which he said was a P1406). A P1406 is an EGR code, but my Z is an 01, thus no EGR. Luckily, I was looking over his shoulder the whole time and was pretty sure I saw a P1460. So then I came back home and searched this forum. Low and behold, I found a slew of threads dealing with this code which was a bad air check valve. On top of that, a new one was only $12. After replacing the valve, the code eventually erased itself (the Autozone ******* didn't even clear it out).

So, even though none of you directly answered my question, I still want to say thanks for the excellent technical content in this forum.
