Help! PCM is not getting power!

Help! PCM is not getting power! I brought my car in to have the starter switch replaced since my car would crank and turn over but only after turning the key about 20 times.
The shop replaced the switch and then nothing worked. They put the old one back on and now the engine cranks and cranks but it doesnt turn over.
Before I brought the car in, the bright amber light on my diagnostics port would always shine (assuming this means I'm throwing codes, but I don't have a way to read them) ... now, the amber light doesn't turn on anymore and the shop says the PCM isn't sending any information to the diagnostics port at all !
What could be causing this? It is a custom swap... could VATS be re-engaged or something? I really need to get this thing to start up again! Thanks,
