need help!!!!!!!!!!! I am trying to open my friends edit file for 99 ta,with my laptop and edit software for my 01 ta.when I dowload the file and click open it says from a ocm you did not license.why cant I open it or how can I open it any help appretiated.
LS1-Edit breaks down the years like this: 97-98, 99-00, 01-02. So your version should be able to scan/open any other 01 or 02 file (but not write), but nothing else unless you paid more money.
Someone must have the '99 version if it's in a .ls1 file already. You can have them do the work for you, or pay Carputing for an additional license on your cable.

Just to clarify, I think HPTuners Standard Editor will allow you to open any model years saved .bin file. It'll allow you to read/write the PCM of the same model/years for which you paid.
