Default Where to start tuning for cam

First off yes I searched and didnt come up with anything that really helped. I am just wondering where to start when tuning for a cam. Do I just want to get the fuel curve set and raise the rev limiter or do I want to adjust the timing and other things to. Please dont bash me if you find something on the search tab. thanks.

there are plenty of threads around but i'll get you started...first get your idle and part throttle driveability down that means toying with your idle rpms and maybe your iac values a bit as well as some minor timing adjustment usually, then set your other constants such as fans & rev limiter and whatnot...then once you get a wideband o2 you can really get into tuning wot via VE & PE tables or what have you.

I got my idle pretty good by adjusting the throttle stop. I have a six speed and my idle is right at about 800 when it warms up. I put in a TR 224 112 so its not that crazy of a cam. I have been driving around with no tune for a while. So all i need to do is pretty much just get my L-Trims and o2's running in the right area's? What do I need to adjust the timing to just try to get it to like 28 degree at WOT or something. I know the best way to tune is use the wideband for tuning the fuel perfectly.

to get your timing adjusted you'll need to hit a few tables first being the high octane spark table and i also utilize the iat vs spark table where you can pull out or add spark depending on the iat temp.

I do not know much about tunning, but the guy that tuned my car said the car only liked 0.5 more degree of timing from stock. +2 degrees did not help #s.
