Venom 400

Hey everyone, I am new to this board and was wandering if anyone knew if you can install this module on a 99 Trans-Am eventhough in the aplication instructions it says that it is for 2000-2002 Camaro's or Trans-Am's

Any schematics/details on hooking it up? I don't think it'd be a problem because 99s used the same security and PCM as 00-02 ... and 99 and 00s are practically identical...

No it's not an alarm, it's a performance module from venom that increases air and fuel coming into the engine, and changes shift points in automatic cars.

yea i've never heard of it either, but if they specify 00-02 cars then, prolly won't work on your 99 ... every year car has a different operating system... and each year can have multiple operating systems... so they need to account for each one of these different OS's ...

If you just want a simple hand held unit prolly best to go w/a proven one... the Crane/Vinci tuner seems to be the best handheld right now...

Problem is alot of these "canned" tunes are hit or miss... some cars love them, others will start knocking and be down on power...
