Default Any one use a LS1 Scanmaster

Hey guys, I was looking on the Ramchargers page and noticed they make a LS1 scanmaster. I have one in my GN and love it. Any one use one on the LS1. I am thinking about getting one. Same easy plug and play hookup? Worth the $$? Thanks

i use one and just like yours for the GN it is very handed for basic tuning. It seems to have a slow scan rate compared to a real scanner but for most stuff it is perfect. Seems I'm always monkeying with the scanmaster while driving down the road..you know how it is

Yeah the scanmaster is a bit slow but does serve its deed. It is a major *** saver for the GN with the famous Buick knock issues, Thats why I was thinking about the LS1 to watch for knock and to keep my eye on everything else in a nice little box. Does it come with the plug that just plugs in or do you need to run wires?

I had one in my 98. I tuned off of it, went to the dyno, hooked up the wide band and was almost dead on. Cant say much bad about them. I mean it's better to be able to see multiple things at once, and to log files with a datta logger program. But for ease of use you cant beat a scanmaster.

Yes, it does come with the plug to plug it right into your OBD2 port. Very Very simple to hook up. Hardest part is figuring where you want to mount it.
