keep throwing codes..171 and 174
keep throwing codes..171 and 174 a while back i started throwing codes. It was p0171 and p0174. Im going to change out the o2 sensors soon, but what would i check to see if there is a vaccum leak? also, what if the headers burnt the wires? what do i do to replace them? I know i need to change the o2's first, but i just want to know incase that doesnt work.
Lean B1 & B2, can you scan the PCM data? Any other codes?
Need to see the O2 voltages & the fuel trim #'s. A vacuumleak Or burnt O2 can be problems. Check the Maf & the intake for air leaks.
Some use carb cleaner* carefully* to look for vacumm leaks @ the intake. The O2's are not bad, just need the parts & a 7/8 wrench.

While the engine is running if you put carb cleaner in it it will react, usually choke down alttle on it. It should do the same if a vacuum leak is present. Start w/ the #'s see if there out of wack.
