maf question, damaged screen?

maf question, damaged screen? my screen has a slight buckle in it about a half an inch long, everything else is still good but i just wanna make sure that wont cause any issues.
a 85mm maf wouldnt net much gains over the stocker on a head and cam car making 450-470 rwhp would it? i read all the posts that say it doesnt do crap really and since the TB is still factory size i woudlnt think i woudl need a bigger maf, should i just keep the 75, as long as that screen wouldnt pose any issues, until i go to a 90 mm intake/tb combo?
