Tuner Question
I'm in the market for a tuner but am a little intimidated by the custom tuning programs out there. Are the HP Tuner, EFILive, ect.. programs relativly easy to use? I was going to go with just a Diablo but I will be upgrading to FI and probably a cam so this will be outdated relatively quickly. And probably will not get a good tune anyway with one of there custom tunes, correct? If you going to spend $400 for a entry level programmer why not spend $500 on the best. Is there anything that these custom tuning programs can't do that Diablo can? How detailed are the manuals in these programs, enough that someone could figure it out with no tuning experience? If anyone can help me make a decision it would greatly be appriciated I do not want to screw up my baby!
Thanks in advance,
Thanks for the input, The learning curve I kind of figured, thats what scares me. I'm a pretty technical guy and I like to tinker I just do not want to screw it up. How do you determine what values control what? Or what values are the ones that need adjustment to change a given problem? What would be the easiest tuning software program? Although if it was easy it probably would be limited (is that true)?
Thanks again,
Anyone else have any input?
