Base map suggestions? (Cam, Head, 1st start)
Base map suggestions? (Cam, Head, 1st start) Hello. I just rebuilt my engine (stock cubes, 11.5:1 compression), with a FFHP heads and a relatively big cam swap (Magic Stick v.3) .
I'm planning on running speed density via HPTuners v1.60. Does anyone have any suggestions to get the car idling and driveable enough to get a few miles to the tuner?
I do have a wideband O2 sensor, so I can get the fueling half way decent. I was planning on sticking with the stock (safe) timing map. My real concern is part throttle and idling. What I'm hoping for is a car that won't constantly stall and buck.
If anyone has any suggestions off the bat, that would be great. Also, would anyone be willing to take a look at some datalogging I do and offer some suggestions?

Ben my trex ran without anytuning and it didnt buck or surge with a bone stock tune. The only problem was coming out of the throttle at low speeds while on the brakes it wanted to die but it would be fine to make it to the tuner
