Do I [I]need[/I] to wait for HPT 2.0?
Do I NEED to wait for HPT 2.0? What will I really be missing if I go ahead and buy 1.6? My car is not a major power house or anything. I think I am going to go ahead and get 1.6 for my car and a friend's 2000 T/A. I will need a serial to USB adapter, but they seem to work pretty well.
Can anyone tell me why I should wait??

nope, the upload/download speed isn't limited by the adapter, it's limited by how fast the PCM can shove the data onto the OBDII bus...

if i would have waited a little longer i might have been able to get 2.0 now i will have to pay to get 2.0 upgrade, so maybe if you wait a little longer youll get 3.0, if they release it 6 months later (wether or not 3.0 will be done ever)
