LS1 timing tuner. is it worth it?

i have a 01 head and camed car and would like some info on this product. does it work well? does it fail? how will i know how much timing it's pulling? will it work with the t.n.t f1 kit? i'm looking to run the max tune with out pulling timing from the computer when it gets re-tuned. thank's for any info, mike c.
