Default EFI Live Spark Table question

I was just looking at the EFI Live software as I think I may get rid of my preadator for it. It has been about 3 years since I've last touched really tuning a car and my last system was a Gen6 DFI on a turbo buick (speed density).

Looking at the basic tables in EFILive it looks like it will be pretty easy to pick up but I have a question on the spark table as this is way more advanced than the DFI was.

On the Spark Table the columns are GM.DYNCYLAIR_DMA Grams/Cyl (or Oz/Cyl) Does this correspond with MAF lb/hr readings? If so how do I calculate (translate) this to what I see on a scan tool?

Grams/cyl is a calculated pid you can select from the F8 tab. This pid corresponds to the ignition table and uses the maf for it calcualtion. Dynamic Cylinder air can also be selected but takes two channels to log. Both are under the F8 tab and from the drop down menu select Air and you should see both

The version I am running has PID's to montior the measured airflow or calculated under 'Tune'.
GM.CYLAIR.DMA (with MAF)
or
GM.DYNCYLAIR.DMA (without MAF)

only 1 PID channel needed, not 2 like the calc one in Livev6.

Sorry I meant they occupy 2 channels and the pids in question are

calc maf cylnair is CALC.CYLAIR 0 channels
maf is SAE.MAF 2 channels
mafless is GM.Dynair 2 channels
mafless cylinder air is GM.DYNCYLAIR 2 channels

These were all located under AIR.


hmmmm Fetumpsh do you know the difference between the ones you listed under Tune and the ones I listed under air they seem to do the same thing

You don't need to log 'SAE.MAF', saves 2 channels.

The guys at EFILive told me these PID's are not std SAE PID's or even GM ones, they grab these airflow readings another way, but they are the exact values the PCM is using in the spark tables.
