Worth tuning?
How much HP can I expect to pick up from good a tune?
Will a tune help my gas mileage?
My setup is in my sig.
My car idles rough but I don't think 500 dollars for a better idle is worth it.
Any inputwould be appreciated.
TIA

I have no idea. Probably 20+, mostly because I was riding the low octane table due to false knock. It made a huge difference on the top end. My car used to fall flat on it's face (16-19 degrees of timing at WOT), now I always see the full 28, not to mention power you can get out of AF ratio changes. There is a lot of power to be had in a tune.

Did you know that you were getting false knock before you got HPTuners?
Did you have prior experience with tuning before or did you learn it as you went and ask Q's on the message board?
Thanks so much for your helpful responses!
around 20HP would definitely be worth it to me.

Yes, I used a friend's Autotap and saw it was happening. No matter what I did the PCM ALWAYS pulled timing. It was rediculous. I tuned it out with HPTuners and now all is well. I would have still bought HPTuners for it's other cool options though.
