disconnecting the battery
all disconnecting the battery will do is let the alternator only provide power for th ecar and not have tro charge the battery.... possibel you have a battery going bad...or you have a bad alternator...not able to keep up with the electrical requirements of your car at the track and charge the battery at the same time...
I also did the battery disconnect between hot laps sometimes and it always made my car faster.no disconnect with cooldown time =slower.
when you disconnect the battery you get more to the car systems...meaning a better spark possibly.... more amperage to the coils....
there is also an injector flow rate/voltage..and a fuel pressure modifier/voltage
either of those might be effecting the "performance" of the vehicle....
it might only be a minute difference in voltage...maybe not even a half a volt....or less even....but every little bit helps...
possibly relating to something in your car...and better performance for you...
maybe the next big trick at the track???
I know pro level guys run with no battery...mostly for weight...but also because its completely unnecessary after you get the thing running..possibel voltage benefits
