Angry HPP3 reprogram question.......

Yeah, yeah. I know. Everybody thinks the HPP3 is dog crap, but I got one off of ebay cheap. Now, I know why it was cheap. The S.O.B. never put his car back to stock, so now I have his VIN in the programmer. Of couse he's since sold the car. Just checking to see if anyone out there knows what can be done. I contacted Hypertech and they said, of course, the only way to reprogram it was to have the original vehicle. So you can't tell me that the company that sells and makes these can't flash it for me or help me? Anybodys $.02 is appreciated.

Joe

Sounds like you bought a paperweight. Hypertech is a bitch to deal with if you are not the original purchaser.

I did a search here and now realize that. Unreal. I told the guy I wanted my money back. Or if he's the original owner to send it.

If you could work that out with him sending it back, Hypertech should do it. By the sounds of the situation, he just wanted to make a quick buck. Hopefully, it will work out for you.

Why should hypertech reset it.

Your not buying just the flasher but the tune as well.

I think I've figured it out. I know a mechanic at a Chevy dealer who's real good at workking a Tech2. Try some PCM trickery.
