Default Tranny problems resulting from SD tune?

I have heard that running in a SD mode is a death sentence for the stock 4l60's. Anyone had any failures due to the increased line pressure resultant from a MAFless tune? I have been running a few days now in SD mode and no ill effects (although the car is shifting its *** off) what-so-ever.

well im in the same boat as you, i know most sugget to tune sd mode but im still a little ify because i assume it would be like unhooking your iat sensor and the line pressures would raise causing the car to shift really hard (i accdentilly did this the other night when replacing lid) also i think it depends on wether or not your maf sensor has a iat wire in it. Ive heard that some do and some dont so im going to read a wiring diagram and try to shed some light on it. Also i just got hp tuners 3 days ago but im gussing there is a way to scan the line pressures to see if they change after unhooking the maf (but im still learning)
