Idle problem after disconnecting battery
When I reconnected it the car did not want to idle and died but after starting it up a second time fired right up and was fine. I figured this was due to the fact the car had not been started in 4 months. I've disconnected the battery twice since then and again just this past weekend when installed headers. After re-connecting the battery eachtime it did the same thing, wouldn't idle and died but was fine upon restarting. This never happened before it went into storage. Any idea what could be causing this ? Is my IAC bad ?
I believe that when you disconnect the battery then restart, the car has to "learn" how to idle again. I think i read somewhere that you let it idle for 15 minutes or so then drive it and let it "learn" how to run properly - do some cruising, some part throttle runs and some WOT runs.
Ya know, just for another excuse to go cruising, I might accidentally disconnect my battery tonight!!
