Tuning Racecar on Dynojet
Alot of people have been giving dynojet a bad rap for being pointless to tune with. I, for one, disagree.
Let me give the disclaimer, I use the Eddy current brake. Effectively it is as good as the mustang dyno for tuning because the load can be applied and each cell can be tuned.
Our car is a Formula SAE open wheel racer and uses a Motec M400.
I do have one question but let me explain first. For those familiar with motec, i'm using the "quick lambda" feature to get the fuel map close to what i want and have the lambda values set in the Lambda table. Then go back and smooth it out.. some pulls and make sure the torque curve and Lambda readings looks really nice.. (and a few other little things )
Is there a similar tuning feature in an ecu i can purchase for my 2000 SS? I dont feel like spending 5 grand for a motec for my SS.. kinda overkill.. but if someone wants to donate
