Default Coil Relocation & Advance

Will having a coil relocation kit cause the stock vcm to use more advance? I ask because I have one, and at light throttle between 2000 and 3600 rpm my car is getting 40° advance. Seems strange to me. So far I have not looked at Knock Retard at light throttle, and I was only getting 3°-4° at full throttle.
If someone wants to look at my stock flash, tell me how to post the ignition advance table and I will post it up.
Thanks

I wouldn't think the relocation would have any affect... the PCM doesn't know the coils are relocated... and the only difference really is extra length of wire... which isn't going to have much affect at those low RPMs

Has the weather recently changed by you? that could account for different timing than you're used to (example... a week ago we had a frost warning, now it's 70s and humid ... lots of things change w/those swings)

No, these were not due to weather. The runs were made on the same day within 20 minutes of each other. My stock spark table actually has 40° in a couple places.
Soon I am going to make another power run to verify I have gotten rid of KR, and we will see how much timing I am left with.

operator error. j/k

I assume you are running 93 octane, right? Also, if you have cleaned the motor by spraying water on the intake manifold, there is a chance that the knock sensor got damaged. keep that in mind.

No Eric, I am not a bright as you. I don't spray water all over my engine bay .
Yes, 93 or 94 (when i can get it) octane only, high octane table copied to low table. Do you know how to post the HPT display here? I want to show my good LTFT table and also my stock crazy advance graph.

OK, well at WOT I am only seeing 26-27° advance after I got all of the KR removed. I guess the 38-40° at the low rpm and low gm/sec really don't matter.

That sounds close, if not, right for PT. WOT is in line as well. And finally the only way relo would effect it is if you had not grounded the coilpack which would cause misfire/lack of fire.
