Default Good all around chip?

car: 1999 z28 m6 60k miles, stock except for borlas

I am looking for a good all around chip that will give me a little better performance and not break the bank like the $500 tuners. I would like to remove my speed governor and beyond that is really just a bonus, maybe some fan tweaks and such?

Any advice would be great!

The chip you have in it is all you need.

You might want to have the firmware that's on the chip tuned, though.

The tuner packages offer the MOST changeable items... however there are some handheld units that will do what you want

If you can find a used Predator that's probably your best bet... 80 bux to have it unlocked to work on your car. a used predator is prolly worth 100 or so

a HPP3 will do what you want too I believe, but it's a waste of money IMHO ...

the last option is the Vinci Motorsports handheld programmer (it's a Crane unit) ... however I do not have experience with this so not sure what all it can do
