Default Premix Raises Octane?

i started to use premix in my rotary to get lubrication in the combustion chamber. i noticed that i was able to advance the timing without preignition. i went to 87 octane with no problems. i used 1/3 oz per gallon of TWCIII fuel injector rated 2 stroke oil.

i realize that a 4 stroke is a totally different beast, but it seems intuitive to me that adding oil to the gasolene will make it less volatile which would emulate higher octane. it will also add lubrication above the oil seal rings and lubricate the valves. i had about 1/4 tank of premixed 87 octane gas in the tank when i did my ls1 conversion. as soon as i get my radiator, i will give it the test. my pcm is tuned for 91 octane.

i run over 8,000 feet elevation in the sierra mountains on my way to ski. we also have roads locally that go over 8,000 ft. i intend to give it a workout to see how it lugs up the hills.

am i nuts? am i courting disaster? i can handle derisive comments, so let me have it.
