disabling vats didn't work, how do i do it.

disabling vats didn't work, how do i do it. ok, i just installed a remote start on my 95z. it will only work if the key is inserted into the ignition hole. so obvisously its my vats. i used lt1edit and under the function enable drop down menu, i went to "vehicle anti-theft = 4" and turn that from "on" to "off"
but this still didn't work. Vats is still active. is there something else im suppose to do in the pcm?
