Default help with hptuners ordering

Hi guys,

I want to order HP Tuners to start learning and tuning my 2000 Z28, but I'm confused about how it works (price wise).

@ HP Tuners site says..

2 Vehicle Types $499
Enhanced IO Interface $150

Do i have to order 2 vehicle types? Sorry if this sounds dumb but i can't get it.

You get 2 vehicle types for $499, ie: 1999 camaro Z28/SS and 2001 Corvette, so yes you have to order 2 vehicle types. The Enhanced IO Interface gives you more capabilities, perhaps someone else could elaboriate.

the Enhanced IO (EIO) allows you to plug up to 4 external devices (0-5V) into the cable and log them in the scanner... example... fuel pressure and Wideband and EGT sensor and something else (assuming all are 0-5 volts)

It also gives you 2 programmable outputs... so you can activate a relay if TPS = 100% or if RPM > 3000 , etc... you can send the outputs to ground when certain parameters are met as configured in the scanner.

And above is also correct.. you have to choose 2 vehicle types (so if you picked a 99 V8 F-Body you can modify ANY 99 V8 F=Body... same goes for whatever other license you pick)

Is the Enhanced IO Interface a good thing to go ahead and get? Or should some one like me (New to tunning) just wait for it? I will be ordering some time soon and wondering if I should go ahead and get it? BTW I know nothing about tunning.
