BS3 Knock control?... You bet-cha! thanks to the hardware from Joe M(Flipper on here)
and John M for the software.

got my first knock retard yesterday. this is a screenshot of the bs3 log.
yes that is 20psi on pump gas and 73% duty cycle on 96# injectors
anyways.. i think its pretty neat.. now i can stop being so conservative with the tune
I dont know of any other stand alone system that has done this yet with the gen 3 engine.
It works pretty similar to the OEM computer with retard degrees per second and recovery degrees per second and a maximum retard. Very slick and simple to use. It uses one or two factory knock sensors (new style) and I reused the factory harness.
This is still in joint development, so please don't blow down Joe or Johns doors with requests while we perfect it... and don't expect your new bs3 to control knock out of the bag.. again this is pre production.

*EDIT* I forgot to say that "ESC Rtd" is the knock retard and it is the lowest line on the picture

That's awsome news (especially for my distant future). The questions is, will this same availablity be there for say a 402 LS2 short block and for our Goat and C6 friends? Very, very interesting.
