A person asked me to tune their car after being fed up with mail order tunes on their STS Turbo car. I discovered that the M/O Tuner had locked his PCM with HPTuners. I found another stock bin file of the same year and same operating system and tried to do a full rewrite as that's what the person asked me to do, to return his PCM to a stock tune, and then have me start from scratch with his tune. I found HP Tuners would not do a full rewrite and gave me the same security error message as when trying to read the locked PCM. Is there any way around this? Will a Tech2 return his PCM to stock?
