Default Flashing SES light on deceleration....what does it mean?

Hey guys, changed my motor mounts and now the car is all set, but now it runs rougher than before. Before it would start and idle fine, but now it surges for a few seconds before it calms down. Also, sometime the SES light flashes on and off on deceleration. It feels underpowered, and it feels like it has many vibrations in it under heavy acceleration. Haven't found any vacuum leaks, plugs are new....Might try a compression check soon. What does a flashing SES light mean? (SES light is always on BTW, but it starts flashing sometimes on deceleration). At idle, the engine noise seems to be the same, but now it moves around less with the new motor mounts . I thought at first one of the plugs was broken and it was having a missfire, but I dont think its the problem.

Thank You

Usually a randon misfire or bad MAF sensor. BTW, this is more PCM related so moving to that section.

flashing SES generally means you have a misfire bad enough to cause damage to the cat. Usually it's caused by a spark problem. Check and make sure you have spark at every cylinder.
