Default Cams and tuning
I was curious if untuned cammed cars generally run lean?In my case I will have an F13, so basically I want to know if it will blow up if I get on it untuned?

ive seen it both ways really...id say try tot stay out of it until tuned.

Once I started tuning mine, I was surprised to see how rich it was after putting the cam in. I was scared to have anyone around my car with a lit cigarette!

Mine was rich too, but I turned the MAF off as well. Hadn't run it with the MAF on yet.

Ok so its pretty much a given these cars run rich even with a cam until tuned?Also,I have duals,LTs,lids,ported TB,and no cats if that matters.Im tired of waiting to put the damn thing in I just dont want to blow it up!

Wow even with the torquer huh?I guess I got the idea a cam would result in the engine running lean cause I saw guys getting bigger injectors.

Once you get a tune, im guessing the Air/Fuel adjusts and isn't too lean or rich anymore but just in the middle ? I think? Right?

With my G5X2 cam just installed I went to the dyno untuned and my AFR, according to their wideband, was between 14.7 and 15.1 or so, very very lean.
