Default Wheel Sensors - PSI

I know someone who just put different wheels and tires on a 04 Escalade and is now getting a Service Wheel/Tire indicator because the new wheels do not have the sensors in them. What is the fix for this? There has to be Vette people with different wheels that have run into this also? I'm not familiar with the sensors. Could it be as easy as he should have moved the sensors from the old wheels to the new ones? Is that even possible?

Default

on the c5 you just mount the old sensors into the new rims and away you go.
some wheels will not accept the sensors and you have to use a band strap to mount the sensor.
