Default Detonation with excessive KR

I recently had a couple of codes come up, cam position sensor low input and cam position sensor performance. At the same time i started getting a detonation problem throughtout the rpm band. Its a 2000 and i have the following mods, Headers, LS6 intake, Cam 228/228 .588/.588 112lsa+2, PP dual springs etc... I have a predator with a custom tune (on a dyno) which was done about a year ago and haven't had any problems with the tune at all. I replaced the cam position sensor, and reloaded my custom tune and the detonation is still there. The spark is 41.4 at cruising speed which is pretty high and only drops to about 38 under acceleration. I have not ran it wot due to the excessive pinging. It is pulling about 5 KR under partial acceleration and it sounds like it pings sometimes even when i let off. Don't know if it is related but i am also getting some lifter noise. Car has 70k miles and i ran seafoam through it about 5k miles ago. Anyone had a problem like this? I also recently replaced my 02 sensors (with the ones i removed with the header install) before this happened and didn't notice any problems then. I have contacted my tuner and he gave me a lot of things to check but now i can't get back in touch with him. The only thing left is the 02 Sensors, could they be causing the problem?

Also would me decreasing the PE on the predator help or is this only for WOT?

your running 41 degrees cruising along at 2000 rpms thats way too much timing in my estimation Id be scared to think about what it is at wot. Id pull 5 degrees from the entire table and go from there getting air/fuel right first. Id definately fix the detonation thing before it turns into preignition and really ***** up the motor.

On second thought Id just pull 10 degrees from the whole thing and only bump it up after tuning trims. thats rediculous

It is pulling 41.4 at 1600 and it comes down to about 40 at 2k rpms. I can only change PE with the predator and not that much. Anyone know why this would just happen all of a sudden?

I have always run 93 octane. The only difference is i am in Virginia instead of Mississippi and Georgia. My spark was never this high, it was always lower until recently.

Your timing values are right in line with the stock 00 M6 High Octane timing table.

I was under the impression you had 41 degrees at 2000 rpm around .4 g/cyl

I have not made any modifications to the car in the last year other than the addition of cats about 6 months ago. I got the predator with the dyno tune about 18 months ago and this is the first problem i have had.

Ahh, but since i have a cam with 2 degrees of timing added in shouldn't my values be somewhat lower?
