Running SD with an automatic all the time...

Running SD with an automatic all the time... When going to SD mode with an automatic the trans settings get thrown off. What can you do to correct this so you can run Speed density all the time?

What do you mean the trans settings are thrown off? I've been running SD for over a year and haven't noticed anything weird there... though my trans is vacuum modulated... could also be specific to vettes?
I think he is referring to the line pressures on older '98-'00 vehicles.
Your best bet is to upgrade to a newer OS from '01-'02. My 2001 Camaro SS is currently running in SD mode and the line pressures are not at max, they are at controlled levels. You could also pay for the 1-Bar SD upgrade from HPTuners, which will allow you to use both octane tables and keep the line pressures at the "stock" settings.

oh ok , if you're talkin about the line pressure... I think I've seen posts where Chris@HPT has modified peoples .bins for pre 01 cars so that the line pressure isn't maxed all the time while in SD
That is a simple fix, and you dont need to do any operating system changes or anything.
The problem is only that the computer has transmission Pressure fault enablers. Which means, that when the engine throws a preselected code, the tranmission will max line pressure.
On efilive those tables can be modified and you can turn off the max pressure stuff, as well as any other tranmission related enablers.
