Open Loop vs Closed Loop
and that table is not the only thing different
less timing everywhere compared to our Camaro/Birds
Drive enrichment 0 everywhere on CTS
Different VE
Different MAF table
you cant look at just 1 table and say just because some other vehicle does it I can do it too
So what the timing is different. is it safe to say it will be different for every vehicle. Prolly so. So what the ve table is different, isnt yours and everyone elses on the board who is in this section tuning different. who cares about the maf table i bet my right arm the tables have chaged because their intake tract is shaped a little different from ours
Take a look outside the tuning documents and all the stickies (they are all opinions anyways you trust them so whats wrong with mine
). Think outside the box form your own theories and try them. GM did it like that for a reason. They realized any richer mixtures will be taken care of by pwoer enrichment. YOUR whole tuning experince is based on ACTUAL/Commanded who cares what the Fuel tables or power enrichment look like as long as your wideband is capturing actual and the computer knows commanded there really isnt any difference to tuning that table for 14.7 or 13.0. I do know one thing gas is gettng to expensive to tune for such a rich mixture trolling around town.http://www.efilive.com/forum/viewtop...82addefe094443

I'm just saying that the way I tuned my car worked for me....
LOL...I feel like you and I are starting to argue about something that is a Toe-Mae-Toe / Toe-Ma-Toe kind of thing..LOL
a lot of times I inadvertantly play devils advocate just trying somebody elses method...
really I'm just looking at your method....compared to other things...
what I really want to know next is...how to best dial in a little lean cruise into the tuning?? but I think I have a whole other thread for that one...
I do that often....It has gotten me a lot of places in my Life and my Career...
and one of my outside of the box things is a 3-2 drag cags...that works and I am testing on my car at the track..and have been researching for cheapest parts...and somebody to print my circuit boards..I'm hoping to make a few extra dollars on th eside with my Item
Sound Engineer - IIRC you are using HPT, which only show's some histograms to the integer. I think what HumpinSS is trying to say would be easier to see if you could expand the resolution to 2 or 3 decimals. I don't use HPT, so you'll have to let me know how it works.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
has customizable histograms...and I can do it up to 5 decimal placesI usually view it in 2 decimals... but do all my Math at 5
Lots of cool things you can do in 2.0 that you couldnt do in 1.7
It shouldnt hurt the motor unless you have a really bad tune.
Many people on here are running a closed loop tune with no ill effects
