Default TRims are in, question on timing

I finally got my LTFT's in line, they all average between -2 and 1. I used what I've learned from you guys and girls on this site to overcome my steep learning curve. Now I have a new problem, timing. I ran the EFI race at E-Town on Saturday and noticed that from about 4000-5200 RPM at WOT I'm getting an average of 2-3* spark retard. I went in and pulled the timing from the corresponding cells so I wouldn't hurt anything, but I'm not sure that's the correct way to fix this problem. I had a mail order tune done about 2 years ago when the LS6 went in, but if the timing is as far off as the fuel trims I'm in trouble. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Oh yeah, the car was still running pretty good, 12.60's @ 108 all day hot lapping.

Pull your timing in that area and re-check. If the problem persists with the timing pulled, look into false knock.

That's the range where I've gotten KR too. In fact I've read a lot of posts about KR starting around 4K. Funny thing is there's also a timing "hole" in the main table starting at 4K, it dips and then back up around 5K. (At least for 2000, I think it's less for 01-02). There's no corresponding thing in the fueling tables.

It is a peak torque reduction. Timing should be an inverse of torque. For the most part, an increase in cylinder pressure (ie torque) denotes a decrease in timing. 01,02 don't have it because their total timing up top is less than peak torque. Somewhat of a detune.
