![Question](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
SES light came on today. Stopped in Advance Auto and they got code, "P1416, Manufacturer Control. Auxiliary emission Controls".
Advance Auto guy said this usually came from gas cap not being properly closed? Well of course it was.
Anyone know what this P1416 really means?
He cleared code and it did not come right back on, yet.
Thanks!

it's for your AIR system in bank 2 (passenger side). si says it may have been a restriction in the manifold or header which ever you have.
also check all the AIR lines on passenger side make sure they are not kinked or unhook and check for blockages. and make sure the check valve isn't stuck

Air check valve on the passenger side. Usually around $30 (although I need one myself so if there is one for $15 I am all over it). Nothing major just a BS emission check that usually gets fouled up, and actually you can soak it and clean the existing one...

I guess they're ready in Advance? Cool I will have to go down and get a couple, I am getting tired of erasing the code every 100-200 miles... heheh
Thanks!
