Default 160 Stat setting w/ Autotap

If I have a 160 degree stat can I use autotap to tell my fans not to turn on until 210 degrees? I was thinking of doing this to save gas...

Thanks,
Lane

Autotap is only a scan tool, you cannot use it to modify parameters in the PCM. Autotap only reads the PCM and clears trouble codes. You will need some sort of tuner to change the fan settings.

Even if you had the software i'd not advise setting it to 210*

Every time your in stop and go traffic the ECT is going to fluctuate anywhere from 170 to 210 degrees causing the block to expand and contract more and thus cause more engine wear. Not really worth it for a few pennies.
