Default Stoichiometry ?'s

How much does the Stoichiometry affect fuel trims? We have been tuning things in SD and have zeroed out the Fuel trims for the most part. When we reconnected the Granetelli MAF, the trims went up across the board. We adjusted the MAF sensor + and - 15% with no real changes either way. Does this have something to do with the Granettelli? We're so confused right now we don't know which way to even go. Even tried really jacking up all frequencies with no real changes. The AFR is set at the stock 14.68, does this have an effect on things, if so how much? No wideband just EFILive. Are we missing something? We're pretty new at this so thats a strong possibility. Yes we have used the **** out of the search button and tried most to the different ways for tuning people have posted. We may have overlooked something so dont beat me too much. This is a learning experience for the REAL project.

Thanks in advance

UPDATE
The fail was set at 0 so now we're trying 13,500 to see what happens.

Update
Its all good now. Changed the fail to 13500 and the idle was real rough and SFT's were adding fuel all over the place. We kept adding fuel till all was good. Turned the LTFT's back on and drove around for a couples hours and shorts are < +/-2 and the longs hardly moved then went back up/down alittle to level out close to nothing. Still needs some fine tuning but she's close.

if your trims in SD are good, but in MAF it all goes lean/rich, you need to recalibrate your MAF. http://www.allmod.net/hpt should walk you through it.

yea thats what we were doing but the changes weren't doing anything. We figured out that we had the fail freq set at 0 so it really wasn't on. Changed it to 13500 and all is good.

yes, in order to see changes made to MAF you might wanna consider enabling it
